On my bookshelf...Amelia Earhart

Written by María Isabel Sanchez Vegara and illustrated by Mariadiamantes, the Amelia Earhart edition of Little People, Big Dreams is a must for your little ones bookshelf.
It's no secret, I'm a huge fan of this series of books, having featured them several times on the blog before and there are plenty of new titles coming out soon so look out for Georgia O'Keefe, Jane Austen and Anne Frank published later this year.

This book tells the story of the most famous female pilot of the 20th century, Amelia Earhart.
Having an interest in planes from an early age, she learnt how to fly one and then bought her very own six months later.
She then went on to set a new women's world record, was the first person to fly over the Atlantic and then flew solo across the Pacific Ocean.
Quite the career... and all beautifully detailed and illustrated throughout.
