Attingham Park...

We had a lovely day at Attingham Park last weekend.

Perfect for getting into autumn mode...a nice long walk whilst on the lookout for deers, a wander around the walled gardens spotting pumpkins, beetroot and gigantic cabbages, aswell as making friends with some rather beautiful looking cows. 

Just enough time for a quick stop off in the National Trust shop and second hand bookshop.

Perfect!

Micush Lifestyle Design...

As I'm sure you all know by now, I'm a little partial to a good bit of stationery, so when Micush Art & Illustration asked me to take a look at their beautiful collection of notebooks, it didn't take much thinking about let me tell you!

Micush is a gorgeous home and lifestyle brand, creating functional design-led products such as paper goods, home decor, kitchenware, prints and accessories.

Israel based Michal Gal-Marko is the designer behind the brand, and it's her illustrations that bring the designs to life with her signature whimsical style, inspired by everyday life and nature.
Head to the shop and expect to see an array of paper products; notebooks, memo pads, sticker books and cards aswell as homeware items; wall art, cushion covers, trays and tea towels. 

I love so many of the prints that grace Micush products...the clean, modern grids and cactus designs, the pretty florals and animal prints, but one of my favourites has to be 'The Bears' which can be found on both a tray, and notebook. 
And plant lovers are in for a treat when you see the botanical wall art, matching notebooks and trays!

Whether you're into bohemian trends, like things a bit whimsy, or prefer a cleaner, contemporary and scandinavic look, Micush have blended them beautifully, somehow creating a cohesive collection that does it all... perfection!

On my bookshelf...Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud

Following the last 'On my bookshelf' post featuring Katie Harnetts book 'Archie Snufflekins Cat',
I'm including another of her books in todays post, her second to be published,
'Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud'. 

I just adore Katie illustrations, so rich in colour and detail on every page, and this book does not disappoint.

It's the story of a lonesome raincloud and his efforts to find a friend...someone who likes the rain.

Some would think he's got a tough job on his hands.

Well he has, until he comes across Ivy, a grumpy florist.
No spoilers in this post.. I'll let you read all about their unexpected, yet 'blossoming' friendship in the book!

Every page is beautifully illustrated in Katies signature style, but

the page featuring an illustration from the viewpoint of the raincloud is just beautiful, seeing Ivy in the distance from above, such a lovely perspective.

A week in Lagos...

We had a lovely week away recently in the very sunny and super hot Lagos, in Portugal.

It literally didn't budge below 31 degrees all week, hot hot!

Hungry for a week of rest and relaxation, we did just that.
