Take me to the Ocean...

You may have noticed I've been a little absent from the blog over the past week or so.

Well that's because we jetted off for a little getaway in Portugal for some much needed rest and relaxation. And we did just that...beaches, poolside sunbathing, boat trips, grotto hopping, cocktails and lots of food, ooohhh so much food!

The 'I'll worry about it when I get home' diet awaits...

The month of lovey-dovey stuff...

I don't know about you but I felt like we'd barely even got Christmas and New Year done and dusted and there were Valentines this and that everywhere!

I even saw something advertising Mothers Day last week, (gasp!)

Whether you're a fan of Valentines Day or not, February is the month of all that lovey-dovey stuff, so seeing as it's February 1st today, lets get on that band wagon, mmwwwwwah!

Roll on 2017!

Well, we're pretty much rounding up 2016 now, 

and getting ready to welcome in, with open arms may I say, 2017!!

I really hope next year is a good one, and for all my lovely readers and followers of this little blog, may it bring with it, good health, happiness, love and laughter.

Dreaming of a white Christmas...

Please can we have snow on Christmas Day this year...

When I was little, we'd always have snow around the big day, (poised with hat, gloves and sledge) and now, nothing, nada, zilch. 

Oh, unless you count that horrible mid January slush (or one year, even in March!) we get that makes everything icy, grey and miserable.

So, please, please, pretty please, with a cherry on top, lets have some glorious, bright white, glittering snow on Christmas Day. 

Yay to that!

I love autumn and everything it brings with it.

There's something about those darker, cozy nights...fire on, snuggly socks and jumpers and chilly walks with the boys surrounded by ombre leaves, followed by a big bowl of tomato soup and crusty bread to warm up..mmmm
