Our little trip to Cornwall...

Well...our little trip down south last week was lovely, and between us, we managed to eat and drink our way through half of Cornwall with endless cream teas, cornish pasties, and visits to Rick Steins fish and chip restaurant in Padstow, and a lovely lunch at Mr. Olivers Fifteen, right on the coast near Newquay, mmm mmm mmmmmmm..... indeedy!

We had little trips out to Padstow, Falmouth, Newquay, Truro and some really cute little towns and villages along the way.

Here a few favourite snapshots...

Managed to discover some hidden gems too
amongst all of the surfboard and bucket and spade shops :-) including some beautiful artwork by the super talented Hannah Cole in 'The Whistlefish' gallery and a lovely little shop called 'Willow and Stone' in Falmouth selling kitchenalia, stationery, prints and general unusual gorgeous paraphernalia!
(Obviously a few purchases were made along the way... it would have been rude not to!)

All in all, a good time was had by all, including the pups!

happy days :-)

There's no denying it...

Well...as followers and regular visitors to my little piece of blog land over here will know, clearly I love anything to do with design, illustration, print, pattern and general creative loveliness...

But, my other BIG love is food!
Yes, there's no denying it, I love eating it, reading about it, watching certain celebrity chefs cook it (no mention of Mr. Oliver! mmmmm) it and then dabbling with some of it in yummy recipes myself.
And I do love a good foodie blog, especially one with beautifully styled images and this ones a keeper!

I recently discovered call me cupcake and fell head over heels instantly as I searched the archives and cooed over the gorgeous photography and yummy recipes... just beautiful, and I'm sure you'll agree.

Here are just a few of my favourite picks...

A few pics...

Ooooh, I'm a bad blogger....
Its been a while since my last post. (sorry)
It's been a busy August and beginning to September!
Busy days (but happy days) with Paper and Cloth at the moment getting ready for Indigo at Premier Vision in Paris, woo hoo, only just over a week to go, exciting!

We're still looking for a super duper Junior Print Designer too, so be sure to check out the blog post if you're interested!

Anyways, thought I'd pop up a few recent pics from our little seaside trip (the little fluffy one loved it!)
Got a bit carried away with flowers...

Aren't the colours gorgeous, love it!

And I couldn't resist adding one of our little fluffball, uber cute!

Baileys Home and Garden

I had a lovely little trip out to Baileys Home and Garden store recently which my lovely friend introduced me to. (she knows me so well... I loved it!)
They sell a gorgeous mix of vintage and new products all based around the concept of recycling, re-using and repair (a topic I'm sure we're all aware of lately!?).
The shop itself, made up from magically restored and repaired run down buildings is situated at Whitecross Farm near Ross-on-Wye.
If you're ever passing nearby it's definetley worth a visit.
Some of the gorgeousness you can expect to find are 'kitchenalia', stationery, an array of scented candles, textiles and much more...

Ooh and you'll just love the packaging they use, beautiful!

Here are a few sneaky pics and some images from their own website for a taster...

Weddings...

Having just celebrated our fourth Wedding Anniversary, I'm in the Wedding mood!
(and it's the season for it!)

(image above taken from pinterest, click here to follow to original source)

There are so many beautiful inspirational blogs and websites out there now devoted to Wedding style and ideas, that I didn't even know existed when we were planning our special day all those many moons ago.

I still like to have a little look at the wedding blogs though, some absolutely gorgeous imagery on them and just generally lovely photographs and styling ideas. As well as showcasing real life weddings, a lot of them also do inspiration boards summing up an entire theme for brides to use as ideas, fabulous!
Here are a few of my faves.

A gathering of loveliness...

We had a little day trip out to Stratford-upon-Avon recently (the boy, the fluffball and me!) and, apart from having a lovely time walking along the river and sitting in the park, eating fish and chips and ice cream (in that order, yum!), wondering around the farmers market and then having multiple photographs taken of Alfie (the fluffball) by lots of tourists, (bit weird but I suppose he's just THAT cute) we also had time to look round a few shops.
There are some of the normal high street shops you'd expect to see but also some lovely small independent shops stocking some gorgeous things so I thought I'd do a little round up of some nice bits I fell in love with. (and of course, some purchases were made, it would have been rude not to...)

First up, a lovely little 'Aladdin's cave' of a shop called Aspire Style.

Full to the brim with gorgeous jewellery, bags, decorative home bits and bobs and general loveliness.
( I bought a lovely key necklace and a ring, can'r resist a bit of jewellery)

They had lots of products themed around 'haberdashery', with tape measures, buttons, sewing patterns and instructions and all in lovely faded colours.

(How cute is this owl?!)

Thought these were just gorgeous, love the mix of the delicate bird cages with a ditsy floral print and doilies. (loving doilies at the moment...)

Next up... Vinegar Hill.
I've visited one of these shops before, in Cheltenham, which was a little bigger than the one in Stratford, but still full of gorgeous home decorations with quite a big focus on a nautical theme at the moment. You can visit their website here.
There was a collection of homeware that really caught my eye by Pip Studio, yum!

And when I visited their website after seeing this gathering of loveliness in Vinegar Hill, I was not disappointed. Right from the home page, its just b.e.autiful!

ooh, gorgeous yes?
Definetley!

I also added to my collection of rosehip notebooks. I love all of the different patterns and thought this one was really nice.

See more on the website here.
