Things I've loved this week...

These are getting a bit of a regular feature on here...
Its nice though, to just round up some gorgeousness from the week...

Some lovely things this week;
a gorgeous new print from Anna Emillia (1) , Lisa Stickley cushion (2), and something I literally fell totally in love with this week (all over again) Elena Deshmukh cards (3), my oh my, she has some beautiful new editions to her collection including 'Souvenirs' and 'Sailor and Friends' inspired by her very own little terrier.
Keep a look out for them in the shops.

H&M have a lovely collection of home ware now which I recently stumbled across and I absolutely love this cushion (4) ; could be the bird, could be the 'etchy sketchy' technique or the gorgeous scribbly wording, who knows, probably all three, but its lovely isnt it...

Next up, an all time favourite of mine, liberty prints (5). Their new additions to the ever increasing offering of fabric definitely do not dissapoint. This lovely print is one of many new ones you can see over on their website.

Lastly, this lovely october desktop from Tabitha Emma (6).

happy weekend everyone

Baileys Home and Garden

I had a lovely little trip out to Baileys Home and Garden store recently which my lovely friend introduced me to. (she knows me so well... I loved it!)
They sell a gorgeous mix of vintage and new products all based around the concept of recycling, re-using and repair (a topic I'm sure we're all aware of lately!?).
The shop itself, made up from magically restored and repaired run down buildings is situated at Whitecross Farm near Ross-on-Wye.
If you're ever passing nearby it's definetley worth a visit.
Some of the gorgeousness you can expect to find are 'kitchenalia', stationery, an array of scented candles, textiles and much more...

Ooh and you'll just love the packaging they use, beautiful!

Here are a few sneaky pics and some images from their own website for a taster...

Teresa Green...

I've been a fan of Teresa Cole's work for ages now (aka Teresa Green), going back to when I was at University. I just love her naive and quirky style of drawing and the 'looseness' she creates when she handprints onto various surfaces; cushions, cards, bags, tea towels, etc...
It's also probably that she uses antique 'kitchenallia' as a source of inspiration in her work, love it!
Have a pop over to Teresa's website for a closer look, it'll be worth it, promise! x x x

A gathering of loveliness...

We had a little day trip out to Stratford-upon-Avon recently (the boy, the fluffball and me!) and, apart from having a lovely time walking along the river and sitting in the park, eating fish and chips and ice cream (in that order, yum!), wondering around the farmers market and then having multiple photographs taken of Alfie (the fluffball) by lots of tourists, (bit weird but I suppose he's just THAT cute) we also had time to look round a few shops.
There are some of the normal high street shops you'd expect to see but also some lovely small independent shops stocking some gorgeous things so I thought I'd do a little round up of some nice bits I fell in love with. (and of course, some purchases were made, it would have been rude not to...)

First up, a lovely little 'Aladdin's cave' of a shop called Aspire Style.

Full to the brim with gorgeous jewellery, bags, decorative home bits and bobs and general loveliness.
( I bought a lovely key necklace and a ring, can'r resist a bit of jewellery)

They had lots of products themed around 'haberdashery', with tape measures, buttons, sewing patterns and instructions and all in lovely faded colours.

(How cute is this owl?!)

Thought these were just gorgeous, love the mix of the delicate bird cages with a ditsy floral print and doilies. (loving doilies at the moment...)

Next up... Vinegar Hill.
I've visited one of these shops before, in Cheltenham, which was a little bigger than the one in Stratford, but still full of gorgeous home decorations with quite a big focus on a nautical theme at the moment. You can visit their website here.
There was a collection of homeware that really caught my eye by Pip Studio, yum!

And when I visited their website after seeing this gathering of loveliness in Vinegar Hill, I was not disappointed. Right from the home page, its just b.e.autiful!

ooh, gorgeous yes?
Definetley!

I also added to my collection of rosehip notebooks. I love all of the different patterns and thought this one was really nice.

See more on the website here.

Out and about on a Saturday...

Ooohh... it's nice to get out and about....

It's 'all engines go!' in the fabulous P&C studio at the moment, busy designing and creating for the Autumn/Winter 2012/13 collections, and I must say, it's all looking rather exciting!
So....due to much busy-ness of late, at both work and home, (new kitchen excitement!) I've not really had much chance to get out to have a nosey around the shops to see what niceness can entice me.
There are some lovely things going on with print and pattern, so I thought I'd post a few pics up on the blog.
I didn't get that much time to peruse the rails, but still came across a few nice bits.

I must say, H&M is really doing it for me at the moment, they have some stunning prints in their womenswear collections, and their ethnic look for trans is looking lovely too.

I know I should be trawling the sales for bargains now, but I'll be kinda glad when they've all finished. You can still see high summer, but there are snippets of trans peering through and as lovely as it's all looking, you can't really see the wood (gorgeous new stuff)  for the trees (boring, seen it all for months now stuff...)

Anyway, here a few bits and pieces, and if anyone gets chance to nip out for a bit of a shop this weekend...enjoy!

A few H&M prints; lots of texture, blurred techniques and soft mix and match tribal looks with a bit of delicate 'geo' paisley thrown in for good measure!
Love the sketchy botanical border print and the feather print scarf at the bottom, yum!

These next three are from M&S, top and bottom from their kidswear collections and the middle one from a ladieswear scarf, thought they were all lovely, especially like the top one!

Aswell as making a few clothing purchases, (it's my birthday soon, so I'm allowed to treat myself) I also bought these lovely notebooks, (can't resist stationery!)  designed by rosehip cards, mmmmm.... love the colours. The larger notebook at the back is by liberty.
And I couldn't resist the cute woodland notebook from accessorize! It's the bird/owl thing again...
(Think there'll be a whole separate blog post for the loveliness going on in there at the moment, some lovely scarf prints and stationery, mmm mmm mmm...)

All in all, a good day, and pleased with my purchases!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend x x x
