Etsy shop find...

If ever theres an etsy shop I could totally fall in love with, it's this one...
(well there's quite a few actually but anyway...)
How completely gorgeous are these!
Want want want!

The shop, 'Beach Blues' run by Missy sells shabby chic mason jars for weddings and home decor
and there are some beautiful colour combinations.
I wouldn't know which set to pick.

Take four - nail it...

Heres a little 'Take Four' post all to do with nails.
I'm terrible for actually being bothered to do something with my nails but when I see pictures like these, it inspires me to dig out the nail polish and get painting!
Particularly loving the geometric design in brights and the super glossy take on a french manicure.

A little indulgence...

I've indulged a little this week...
I ordered myself a gorgeous Roberts revival DAB radio (eeeeeek!).
And, after much deliberating over pink... leaf green... duck egg blue (decisions decisions)
I opted for this beautiful blue one, yum!
I have to say, although I've only used it a couple of times, it really is fab, and looks super lovely sitting on my bookshelf in the kitchen.

Colour crush...

Hi all, hope you're enjoying your extended holiday weekend!
Just popped by to leave you with a colour crush post before I get on with yet more baking (second round of the raspberry jelly roll...its in demand now, ha ha!)

Lovely green and ochre tones mixed with moody purples, and obviously very food biased.
Pantones colour of the year for 2013 is emerald green, and although not particularly 'emerald', its a little nod to green!

Hope you like it.

Raspberry jelly roll...

As I'm sure you all know by now, my two big loves...food, and everything to do with design.
Well, I'm lucky enough to do one of them as my day job, so in my spare time, I do the other!
Happy days eh...
So, following my recent purchase (or two) of the hummingbird bakery cookbooks I made their lovely raspberry jelly roll.
(I openly admit to a 'slight' obsession with cook books, see picture below... obsessed much?!
You'll notice a clear favourite, the super amazing Jamie Oliver.
I just love them, the gorgeous food styling and photography, trying all the different recipes, discovering flavour combinations that make you go 'ooh' and 'aah'...anyway, I digress...)

As you can imagine, its not a particularly difficult thing to make apart from the separating eggs bit and then rolling the sponge and making sure it doesn't crack, but it is very yummy and can highly recommend it.

Next on the 'to bake' list, and currently in the oven as I type...pineapple upside down cake for an easter lunch tomorrow, mmmmm.

Heres a pic of my finished roll...

(told you...!)

Well, what a week...

We had a week away in the Lake District last week, and my my, we saw four seasons in one week!
It was beautiful though...waking up to snow on our first morning there.
The rain not so lovely however, but one day out of six isn't bad,
the rest of our time there was dry atleast, but extremely cold, bbrrrrr!
And the sun did make a little sneaky appearance occasionally.

Whats going on with our weather lately anyway?
Seriously, its nearly April, whats with all the snow?

Need some sun!

So anyway, heres a little pic I took last week, the beautiful Lake Windermere in the snow.
I'll post a few more once I've had chance to sort through them all.

Hope you all had a good week last week

Take four...just because

Just because...
I love all of these images; the minimal colour palette, the lovely printed cross hatch textures on the bag and little pot, and the naive hand-drawn type on the poster and cushion, super yum!

Oh, and how cute is the sentiment on the tea towel...
everyone should have a little dance in their kitchen when the moment takes them...

New blog feature...

Today sees the start of a new blog feature here on loveprintstudio.

Adding to the other regular(ish) features;
'Love print...Love...?' and 'Colour Crush', 'Take Four' will be used to
showcase a select few images that I've seen across my travels on t'interweb,
collated together and thought I'd share with you all.

Some of the little collectives may have a common link,
or just be bought together because they're things I'm particularly loving at the moment...
anything and everything...

Either way, I hope you enjoy checking in to see each little gathering of loveliness.

Heres one to start us off...

Inspired by...Kirra Jamison

It was back in December when I last did a 'Love print...Love ?' post so I thought it was about time I added another to the little collection of lovely designers I admire.
This time it's the turn of Kirra Jamison...

Kirra doesn't need much saying about her beautiful work as it speaks volumes!
I love her collections of gorgeous bold, abstract florals, and look at the colours, yum!

Theres plenty more to see over on her website so be sure to take a look, enjoy!

A belated Valentines...

I'm a little late with this Valentines post due to being away with the Paper and Cloth team whilst we exhibited at indigo, as part of Premier Vision in Paris.
(You can check out the eflyer in the post below)

Anyway...heres a little Valentines collective, with a nice monotone feel in common.
Hope you all had a loved up yummy time.
I spent mine enjoying toffee apple crepes with ice-cream, french style, nom nom indeed, but minus the boy, so we'll have our own evening of lovely food and a spot of vino now I'm back on UK soil :-)

If you're having your Valentines this weekend, enjoy!

Colour crush...

It's that time again...a lovely colour crush post.
I've gone for a beautiful muted palette; some soft peachy pink tones with duck eggs and ocre.
A simple and understated combination but still gorgeous... get ready for spring!
Some really lovely artwork featured on this one too, 'There's no place like' art print (bottom left) by Studio Meez, and 'Forest poster' by Studio Morran (Camilla Engman), (bottom right).

Snow day, fun day...

Well, we've had quite a bit of snow here in the UK now haven't we!?
We had a lovely weekend last week, trekking through the snow to get brunch out (yum) and then afterwards it was snowman building time (little and large varieties), hot chocolate and playing in the snow with Alfie.
All in all, a very nice day!

Here are a few pics...
